Absolutely, we will provide the necessary training for all prospective interviewers.

What questions should I ask for the interviews?

We'll provide scripts and other documents for interviewers to use for interviews.

I don't have my own smartphone or recording device, are there any I can borrow?

Yes, the Antigua Oral History project has a limited number of smartphones that can be checked out/loaned temporarily to interviewers to use in the field.

Can I get UWI credit for my participation in the project?

Yes! The Antigua Oral History project has arranged a certificate program with UWI Open campus in which participants can receive a certificate if they complete a series of course objectives.

I'd like to interview my grandmother, but her memory is not very sharp any more?

Not a problem, so long as interviewees can consent to the interviews, they can participate in the project. Although elements of an oral history interviewee's memory may be hazy, nuggets of wisdom and clarity are sure to emerge, if only momentarily, at some point during the interview.
